This is truly a complete package of violin expertise. For about 1 year I have been listening to Alison Sparrow's advice on her YouTube video channel but following/practicing my violin skills with another violin book that I had prior to discovering her channel. Since her channel is so helpful with my learning I thought that it was about time that I purchased her violin books. I am certainly not disappointed in my decision to purchase her books and if anything I wish that I did not wait so long to include them in my violin resources. Between the included books, handouts, and videos in this set it feels like Ms. Sparrow is actually in the room instructing you. She is very knowledgeable and funny which makes it a joy to learn how to play the violin at your own pace. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to play the violin or is beginning to play the violin to significantly consider seeking Ms. Sparrow's instruction. I am excited to continue my journey learning the violin and seeing what else Ms. Sparrow and her violin books collection has to teach me.

I am really enjoying Alison's online learning. I am self teaching and feel her lessons set clear goals before moving on to the next. I downloaded these books which corresponds well with the videos on YouTube. It has been worth every penny. She has been by far the best online tutor.

Having recently had my great-grandfather's violin restored I vowed that I would learn to play this beautiful instrument. I'm 55 and so many people said you're to old, it's the hardest instrument to learn. Well, having found Alison's YouTube channel and her book series I can say that neither statement is true. I've found the videos informative, informal and fun. I'm, shortly, to start the books but have read them through and find that they follow logically and practically on from the initial 1-10 lessons. I'm sure that Alison's promise that this training will take a beginner to intermediate in 30 lessons is no empty boast. The rest is up to me. Stick at it, be realistic, be patient. I have never played any musical instrument before but for some odd reason I decided to learn to play the violin. I found Ms. Sparrow's videos online. Then I came across her work books and music. I'm not very far into the lessons but her videos are extremely helpful. I would say it is money well spent.

I love the instruction that Alison has created for beginner violinists, like me. Explanations and instructions are clear, concise, and motivating. I feel confident that I will be an accomplished violinist with Alison's direction.

I live in India, where getting someone to teach western classical violin is difficult. This course is wonderfully designed and made everything easy, and it certainly is a boon especially for people like me who don't have access easily. Her teaching style plus the books make learning much more enjoyable . would recommend this course 10/10 . Best course available for violin.
