Holiday & Christmas for violin

I'm new to the violin and have started Alison's 1-30 lessons. This booklet is a great compliment to that series, but is also excellent as a stand alone. It's so useful as a beginner to see the notation alongside tabulature and has helped greatly with my understanding of music. Features a great range of popular Christmas music that are fun to learn.

Christmas

All selections are easy and all arrangements are quite nice. I am an intermediate to advanced level player. The ones that I really like are O Holy Night, Silent Night, and Bleak Winter. Good price, too. Christmas songs should be easy to play.

I absolutely love this book! Super easy to understand and although I prefer the sheet music now as I’ve been playing for a few months, the tabs are great as well, especially where I still get a little confused about the key I’m supposed to be playing in. I love listening and playing along to the performances, it’s really helping develop my rhythm.

I really like this Christmas book 1. It is especially nice to have the mp3 music available for the songs. That is a great help. I'm glad I purchased this book and look forward to others in the future.

Straight Forward, but Lacking

I still have trouble reading music notes, so occasionally I tried using the tabs. I found they were harder to understand and certainly didn't train me to read musically. Aside from that, I think the music selection was good. I only tried a couple, but they were a little challenging, but that was probably because I'm not that good on the violin yet. I still pulled off Jingle Bells though.

Good Book for a Beginner

A Tradiitonal Christmas and Holiday Book 1 for Violin is a wonderful book for a beginner violinist. The sheetmusics are nicely arranged by Alison and the backing tracks (included) are really helpful for playing in accurate tempo. Once again, thanks to Alison for arranging the famous Christmas songs in a one book.

Fantastic songs

Brilliant selection of Christmas songs! They are written in such an accessible way for beginners, yet sound great. As an adult (very) novice learner, I found these particularly fun and high yield to learn on. Would definitely recommend if you are learning (and her Youtube videos are absolute gold dust!)
