    Excellent Intro to Sheet Music

Posted by Chris Reynolds on 31st Mar 2015

I think her point that it's like she's here in the room with you is very accurate. Alison's method of explaining things is simple enough, yet thorough at the same time. The tips she gives are both logical and actually help! I'm very pleased.

Alison breaks it down into easy steps, doesn't overwhelm you or use complicated explanations. Anyone can pick up her book and learn to play quickly and easily. The best online piano instructor I have found. Eagerly anticiating her next book and lessons 11 - 20.

    Alison is simply awesome

Posted by Bill Blankenship on 9th Mar 2015

At 50 years old, I had an accident that left me laying around for a few weeks and I'm an active person. Needless to say I couldnt just sit around, and I've been pondering learning to play the piano. That said I purchased a Williams Legato 88 key piano, and watched several videos online. Until I found Alisons online videos I was floundering. Wow, Alison is simply an awesome instructor, and I encourage her please to write a second advanced lesson. Already in 3 weeks, I can play all scales flawlessly, and I have followed all the lesons in the book. Now I'm actually starting to play other music from sheet music. I cant thank Alison enough.

    Never too old to learn

Posted by Rod Hoyle on 6th Mar 2015

At 67 I thought I was too old to start learning the piano, but with Alison's book and her YouTube video's I found the lesson's easy to follow, and very well explained, I am amazed at how much progress I have made in such a short period of time, (and being a young bloke) I will be eagerly looking forward to her second book's arrival.... Now if only my typing were as good, (any hints on that Alison?). So if you have been tempted to have a go at the piano, but have kept putting it off, thinking it was too hard, do yourself a favour buy the book, watch the video' and get stuck in.

    Perfect for a mid-life crisis

Posted by Glynn on 24th Feb 2015

For a 37yo guy having an early mid-life crisis this is the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful piano I bought. I was expecting to spend months struggling with basics, but this has got me playing 2-handed scales in a week... a great confidence boost to push on!

    Fantastic!

Posted by MJC on 21st Feb 2015

I have not played the piano for about 17 years. I last played piano whilst a teenager and gave up before taking my Grade 1. I've wanted to start learning again for ages but work long hours and have young kids. This course from Alison is fantastic! In two weeks I've watched the 10 lessons on You Tube and started working through this book. It's so logical and informative. I cannot praise it enough...well worth the money! Looking forward to moving onto the Essential Piano Collection although I've had to check out Alison's Ledger Line You Tube video to be able to remind myself of how to read all the notes. Buy this book, you will not regret it.
